Evans Lake Forest Education Society

Evans Lake Forest Education Centre is open year round for school field trips. Each booking offers exclusive use of the facility including full catering and accommodation for 106 in heated cabins and 5 semi-private rooms.

Evans Lake Forest Education Centre is an inspiring place to learn about the wonders of our Coastal Forests. Students of all ages, from pre-school to university, come to Evans Lake to live and learn in nature’s classroom. While our focus is providing Education about our forest environment our facilities are flexible enough to accommodate a variety of themes; including outdoor recreation and nature studies, teamwork, leadership, science or music retreats.

Our Program Director is available to help you plan and coordinate your programs on-site and our qualified instructors are available to complement school staff for activity leadership and Forest Education programs. Many program have been developed especially for school groups and we would love to help you figure out which best meets your needs. We offer many ideas on fun, educational activities for your class to use before their trip, while at the Evans Lake Forest Education Centre and back in the classroom after the trip.

A separate book of education programs is available upon request. These programs contain complete lesson plans for the following areas: trees, water, soils, wildlife, skills, management, winter safety, migration and adaptation mapping, etc.

2012 Rates

WEEKDAY RENTALS –Educational and Youth Groups
(Monday- Friday, Price Per Person)
Arrival time: 12:30 pm for lunch*
Departure time: 11:00 am after breakfast

Rental Inclusions:
♣    Weekday rates include 3 meals per night rental (lunch, dinner and breakfast), plus an afternoon snack and an                  evening snack.  
♣    Accommodations include use of the cabins and recreation hall rooms
♣    Select a set program or we can customize a program with you, plus the course materials
♣    Two instructors, one of which is NLS certified, are available to assist with your program, orientation, educational                  courses, games, campfire etc.
♣    Canoeing, paddle-boarding, archery, rock-climbing, orienteering

Options:
♣    Additional meal per person: Breakfast $9, Lunch $11; Dinner $13; Snack $3 (meal prices based on the group menu,               modifications are subject to an additional cost)
♣    Special dietary requirements subject to an additional charge of $3.00 per person/ day
♣    Log cabin rental
♣    Additional Instructors

15% OFF RENTALS FROM NOVEMBER 1ST – APRIL 30th ( Rental includes one instructor during this period)

Departure time is 2:00 pm after lunch

♣    Accommodations include the cabins and recreation hall rooms (4 of 5 rooms in summer months)
♣    Canoeing, paddle-boarding, archery, rock-climbing (require a certified instructor)
♣    One host
Options:
♣    Additional host hours or an Instructor
♣    Outdoor rock-climbing wall instructor-please inquire at booking
♣    Price for additional meal per person: Breakfast $9, Lunch $11; Dinner $13; Snack $3
♣    Meal prices based on group menu provided, modifications are subject to additional costs.
