Winter Day Camps -- February 2010

February 2010 will see school closures in the Sea to Sky School District during the weeks February 15-19 and February 22-26.  With kids out of school and families needing to work, Evans Lake is proud to offer our Winter Day Camps!

Ages: 8-13 years old

Dates: February 15-19 and/or February 22-26, 2010

Times: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM at camp (Busses arrive at camp and leave camp at these times, pick up and drop off from bus stops will be earlier and later accordingly)

Transportation:  Participants will be picked up and dropped off from Brennan Park Community Centre, Squamish Elementary, Mamquam Elementary and Brackendale Elementary each day.    Children will arrive at camp at 9:00 AM by bus and leave camp at 4:00 PM on the same route back.  Parents/Guardians are expected to meet the bus promptly at both pick up and drop off times.

Food: Only warm drinks and packaged snacks/piece of fruit (two/day ) will be offered.  It is expected that participants bring their own lunches.

Camp Description: Spend a week or two at Evans Lake while out of school during the winter Olympic break!  We will have opportunities to explore the outdoors in a winter setting.  The program will include:  winter sports, hikes, winter nature based programming, winter shelter building, winter flora and fauna investigation, orienteering, personal/group challenges, special guests and a whole lot of FUN!  (Activities will be weather dependent)

Cost:  $225.00/child per week (including transportation and taxes).  You can sign up for one or two weeks.
